How can I reach Brijuni Island from the mainland?

To visit Brijuni Island, take a ferry from Fažana, a charming coastal town in Istria. The ferry ride to Veliki Brijun lasts about 15 minutes. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Fažana terminal. Check the official ferry schedule here:

How can i come to Brijuni National Park from Pula

When you are in the Pula, you should go towards city center and catch a bus line 21. The cost of ticket is at moment 2.50 Euro but in the seassion it can cost up to 3 or 3.50 euro depending on seassion peak. The correct location of bus station from Pula is the street: Istarska ul 2. Bus parts every 45 minutes from 07:00 till around 18:00 and than switches every full hour untill 21:00 when last one parts to Fažana a transit town to Brijuni islands.

 

From there you will travel around 20 min in morning times beafore rush hours and from 16:00 to 18:00 around 35 minutes. Since in summer 2025 we expect traffic issues due to reconstruction of main road under name: Fažanska cesta it ccould go up to 45 to 50 minutes during rush hours. We suggest to check our guide how to come to Fažana and National Park Brijuni faster by car, with bus you wont have chance to avoid traffic.
